Membership
- Nurses with NEA membership may hold a leadership role in their organisation, or they may be or may want to be, on the pathway toward a leadership role. There are many nurses who join NEA, and they may hold roles such as directors of nursing, associate directors of nursing, chief nurses, clinical leaders, nurse academics, clinical directors, nursing policy analysts, professional nurse leaders, and nurse consultants. They may also be nurse practitioners, nurse specialists, nurse researchers, nurse lecturers, unit managers and professional nurse advisors, or they may hold a specialist portfolio e.g., NETP coordinators. You don't have to hold any of these positions, but you may be on the pathway toward becoming one - if this is the case, then NEA is for you.
- As a member you will have access to national group meetings, regional meetings, the AGM, and professional development days.
- You will also have access to our mentorship programme which is currently under development.
- If your organisation pays for your membership, the membership is then held by the organisation and this can be transferred to another member within that organisation should the original member leave. The original member will not need to reapply for NEA membership but will need to update us with new contact details. Our admin will determine if there are any fees payable.
Membership fee: $175.00 per annum
Leaving a role does not require you leave NEA.
